Leicester just the job for Parling

LEICESTER head coach Geoff Parling takes charge of his first Premiership game tomorrow after swapping Melbourne for the Midlands.

Tigers head to Bristol with Parling, a former lock at Welford Road, in place after giving up his role as forwards coach with Australia to take charge.

Parling is aiming to go one better than Leicester did last year under Michael Cheika, when they lost in the final to Bath, and insists it is one of the few jobs for which he would have returned.

He said: "I would describe it as my club.

“It is a basic, tough and uncompromising sort of club, which appeals to me.
