LABOUR WOULD BLOCK AXING OF INHERITANCE TAX

SIR Keir Starmer has signalled a Labour government would reverse any move by the Tories to cut or scrap inheritance tax.

The Labour leader said his party is "fundamentally" against axing or reducing IHT.

Asked yesterday whether he would overturn potential changes to the levy, Sir Keir said: "We're fundamentally opposed to what the Tories are pretending they are going to do...I don't know whether they're going to do it.

"But I would've thought by now that they would've learned that further tax breaks for...the best-off with nothing for working people is not a good idea.
