Howe inspired by memories of Sir Bobby
NEWCASTLE boss Eddie Howe wants his players to channel the spirit of Sir Bobby Robson when his two old clubs do battle in the Champions League tonight.
As Howe spoke just days after some stinging criticism following the 0-0 draw with bottom side Wolves, a portrait of the legendary Toon boss, who won two Dutch titles with tonight's opponents PSV, stared back at him.
Howe (inset) ended the Toon's long wait for a trophy last year when winning the Carabao Cup, but the challenge is now to get back into the Champions League next season.
He said: "We're all well aware of the history with Sir Bobby, as we were in the Barcelona game earlier in the Champions League campaign.
"Hard work, organisation, always going to the end, never giving up, and trying to do the crowd justice by representing the club in the right way these are all the values he stood for.
