RACHEL Reeves has called for a change in how terror is defined after it emerged Axel Rudakubana's obsession with violence was dismissed as "an interest in world news and current affairs".

The Chancellor also vowed that "no stone should be left unturned" in the public inquiry into the Southport stabbings and that social media companies have a moral responsibility to remove harmful online content.

The killer was referred to the anti-extremist programme Prevent on three separate occasions in 2019 and twice in 2021.

Counter terrorism officers knew he was fixated on mass shootings, but decided he was "not in danger of being radicalised" because he had no cause or political belief.
