RAGGED ROCKETS FAIL TO FIRE IN FINAL FLOP
WILL JACKS lit up Lord’s as the Oval Invincibles blew Trent Rockets away to be Hundred champions for the third time in a row.
The explosive England star thrashed 72 off 41 deliveries before spin duo Nathan Sowter (3-25) and Adam Zampa (1-21) sent Rockets spiralling to a 26-run defeat.
Jacks and Jordan Cox (40 off 28) laid the foundations for the final victory as Invincibles set a 169 target.
Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis let fly with a series of huge hits in his late 64, but the match had already drifted away.
Jacks said: “We know how hard it is to win consistently in the short format so to win the Hundred three times in a row feels very special. I felt good out there and saw the ball well. I do love playing here.
