It took an embarrassing accident at my favourite garden centre to discover the solution to my incontinence!

‘VE ALWAYS loved my weekly trip to the garden centre, every Wednesday with my friend Margaret. We love having a wander looking at the plants, followed by browsing around the gift shop, then off to the café for a pot of tea and a slice of cake, their carrot cake is the best.

“It was something to look forward to each week. But a few months ago, that all changed and I was too embarrassed to face going there again.
“I’d just sat down with my friend Margaret, cup of tea in hand, when I thought that the chair was wet. My first thought was that someone must have spilt a drink on the chair. But as soon as I stood up, I realised the truth: I'd wet myself — right there, in the middle of the café.
“I had a big wet patch on my trousers. Margaret noticed and quietly handed me her cardigan. “Here, love,” she whispered, “cover it with this while you pop to the loo.”
“I was mortified not just that I'd wet myself, but worried how many people had noticed.
“I put on a brave face and held back the tears.
“As soon as I got home, I showered and changed, sat on the edge of the bed, and sobbed. I felt so embarrassed... and old. What was happening to me?”
It wasn't the first time
