Top flight will be mystery
JOEL PIROE is ready to prove he is the main man for promoted Leeds this season - and not a one-season wonder.
The Dutchman inspired Daniel Farke’s men to the Championship title last term as he won the division’s Golden Boot with 19 goals.
But Piroe, signed from Swansea two years ago, has never played in English football’s top flight.
Now he gets that big chance — and the 26-year-old is aiming to prove he can be just as prolific.
Farke is working hard to bring in some striking reinforcements but Piroe said: “Whether it’s a new signing or an academy prospect, there will always be a battle for your place.
