I thought I was going to die. I hit my head and woke up on the floor. It was scary

ONE of the British passengers on the turbulence-hit fatal flight to Singapore last night described the chaos and terror on board and admitted he thought he was about to die.

Broker Josh Silverstone, 24, who suffers from a fear of flying, lost consciousness when Singapore Airlines flight SG321 plunged 6,000ft in a matter of minutes, over Myanmar in Southeast Asia.

He said: "I woke up on the floor. I didn't realise what happened. I must have hit my head. Everyone was bleeding."

Josh, from South London, was so convinced he wasn't going to make it he contacted his mother from the stricken aircraft.

He said: "Yes, I did [think I was going to die].

"I bought some airplane Wifi I've never done that - and texted my mum, trying not to scare her and just saying, 'I love you'.

"People were scared. It was pretty scary."
