How Denmark gets it right on migrants

THE BRITISH Government is right to look to Denmark for inspiration on immigration.

- JJ Anisiobi

While both nations are proud democracies with long histories of openness and tolerance, Denmark has preserved its cultural identity and societal cohesion far better than the UK.

Having spent much time in Denmark - and with a late grandmother who was Danish - I've seen firsthand how the country blends modern efficiency with a deep respect for its heritage. It is clean, orderly, and distinctly Danish - a country that proves cultural preservation and successful immigration policy can go hand-in-hand.

One of the key reasons Denmark succeeds where others struggle lies in its clear sense of identity. Danish culture is actively maintained through government policy and the everyday values of its people.
