Hospitals plagued by rats

NHS hospitals are spending tens of thousands of pounds trying to eradicate rats and mice, it has emerged.
The average number of call-outs to pest control services by trusts in England have soared by an average of 50% since 2018.
The figures were revealed by a Freedom of Information request, months after a man filmed a rat near his 79-year-old mother's hospital ward and posted the footage online.
