Brook hoping a big score is just around the corner
HARRY BROOK is in the mood to ramp up big runs at The Oval this week as he targets a sixth Test century.
The 25-year-old is frustrated he has failed to "kick on" after making decent starts in England's series against Sri Lanka. Not that Brook is out of form or lacking confidence.
He started the summer with a hundred against the West Indies. He has also bagged two half-centuries but is far from satisfied with 355 runs from nine Test innings.
Having seen how Joe Root and Gus Atkinson performed with the bat at Lord's, he is hungry to get in on the act.
Brook cursed himself after twice getting out in the thirties in the Second Test with Sri Lanka.

A magnificent reception
MOBILE phones, as you know, can be pain in the neck, especially when reception is patchy. But do you know whose fault it is when a call keeps cutting out? It’s mine. Yes, really. I’m entirely to blame.
