EAST INDIA DOCK made up for a near-miss at the Cheltenham Festival by landing a mini gamble in the Ladbrokes Chester Cup.

Available at 9-2 with William Hill a few days ago, punters backed the JCB Triumph Hurdle third, inset, right down to 9-4 as the main event on the Roodee neared.
