Handyman who plundered dying OAP’s account is jailed

A HANDYMAN who helped himself to £102,000 from an elderly customer’s bank account has been jailed.
Simon Appleby, 40, started out as the woman’s cleaner, but after the company he worked for went bankrupt he continued doing odd jobs for her such as painting her garage and changing lightbulbs.
The trusting pensioner let him take payments from her online banking account via her laptop.
