Ten Hag tells Ronaldo to give his verdict in May

ERIK TEN HAG has hit back at Cristiano Ronaldo's claim he lacks ambition after saying Manchester United could not win the biggest trophies right now.

He told his former player: "Come back and judge us in May." Ronaldo, who fell out spectacularly with Ten Hag in the Portugal star's second spell at United, leading to an acrimonious exit, has reignited the feud.

Now playing in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo claimed Ten Hag should not be publicly saying United are a long way from winning the Premier and Champions League.

Responding to that, Ten Hag said: "We will see where we are in May next year.
