AN expert witness in the Lucy Letby trial has blasted "inaccurate" claims that he changed his mind over the deaths of three of the killer nurse's victims.

Retired consultant paediatrician Dr Dewi Evans spoke after her lawyer called on the Court of Appeal to review all her convictions.

Letby, 34, from Hereford, is serving 15 whole life terms for murdering seven infants and trying to kill seven others at the Countess of Chester Hospital from 2015 to 2016.

In a press conference on Monday, Letby's barrister Mark McDonald KC said: "Remarkably, Dr Evans has now changed his mind on the cause of death of three of the babies, Baby C, Baby I and Baby P.
