Swaggering Raducanu is on a roll but wants more
NOT since Emma Raducanu won the US Open in 2021 has she been victorious in two games in a row at a Grand Slam.
The British star disagreed that it was her best performance since she lifted that title three years ago.
But the confidence and swagger will give a glimmer of hope to those craving home glory at SW19 this summer.
Raducanu, 21, breezed past Belgium's Elise Mertens 6-1 6-2 and into the third round at Wimbledon for just the second time.
"I played very well, but I don't think it was my best match since the US Open," she said. "I've played a few matches that I was personally probably happier with.
"But, of course, today I'm very pleased with how I handled situations.
