Del Amitri star: Parkinson's makes it hard to play guitar

DEL Amitri singer Justin Currie yesterday told how he is finding it "very hard" to play guitar due to Parkinson's disease.

The Roll To Me songwriter - who revealed he had the condition last year - said he is "losing control" of one of his hands, which will affect his ability to play bass.

Parkinson's symptoms include shaking and muscle stiffness.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Justin, 60, said: "You get good weeks and bad weeks.

"When you feel normal it's like being high because you feel you don't have any major symptoms, and then you get weeks where you're just...you feel very, very, very ill. It's a very odd thing.
