Actors urge Bafta and the BBC to condemn court ruling
OSCAR winner Eddie Redmayne and other former stars of JK Rowling film franchises have signed an open letter "in solidarity" with the LGBT+ community in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling on gender.
The Harry Potter author, 59, who has been outspoken on gender issues, backed the ruling, which said the terms "woman" and "sex" in the Equality Act refer to a biological woman and biological sex.
But Fantastic Beasts star Eddie led calls for film and TV industry bodies to support the trans community.
