MARC EXCITED FOR DATE WITH ‘LEGEND’
MARC CUCURELLA already had a date booked with a "legend of football" in New York even before Chelsea reached the semi-finals.
The Blues full-back revealed he has been swapping text messages with ex-Chelsea star Thiago Silva, who is 40 but still going strong for their Club World Cup opponents Fluminense.
Cucurella was team-mates with Silva for just two seasons, but the former Brazil centre-back clearly left a big impression.
Now Silva stands in the way of Chelsea reaching Sunday's final also at New York's MetLife Stadium - and getting a shot at the £97million jackpot that goes to the tournament winners.
