Crossing plan's a bridge too far for star Edward

A BRIDGE Too Far star Edward Fox is leading protests against a controversial railway crossing in his home town.
The actor, 87, delivered an impassioned speech to hundreds of supporters in a rally at the weekend.
He is against plans by Network Rail, supported by Dorset Council, to replace a footbridge and level crossing with a modern ramped bridge in Wareham.
Protesters say it will clash with the Grade II-listed Victorian station, split the town in two and impede wheelchair users and parents with prams.
