'Chelsea-on-Sea' bans wealthy Londoners snapping up second homes

Locals priced out of their pretty village are fighting back
A VILLAGE nicknamed "Chelsea-onSea" has joined the backlash against second homes.
A total of 80% voted in a local referendum to stop outsiders many from London - turning properties into holiday homes.
New builds in Burnham Market, Norfolk, must be principal residences.
The parish council acted after years of seeing wealthy outsiders snapping up properties, sending prices beyond the reach of many locals.
Around a quarter of the village is now thought to consist of second homes, with the average price £1million and even the smallest selling for £500,000.
It is one of many gentrified, picture-postcard hotspots around the North Norfolk coast.
