Charity boss banned amid row over £350k payment

Goodband was chair of the trustees and received two-thirds of the charitable body's income over two years for consultancy work.

She was the "dominant force" at Island Health Trust from 2015 and 2017. Goodband, 66, was a nurse who rose to eventually take NHS chief executive roles.

The trust was set up in 2008 to own a property used by an NHS GP service in the Isle of Dogs in East London. Goodband became chair of the trustees in 2009 and in 2014 learned of a redevelopment opportunity, thought to be worth up to £9.4million.
