'Catastrophically unprepared UK left behind by its enemies'

Report calls for investment in drones and info warfare

BRITAIN is “catastrophically unprepared” for modern warfare and risks being left behind by enemy nations, a report has warned.

It called for urgent investment in drones, counter-drone systems and information warfare. Future conflicts will be defined by manipulated images, disinformation campaigns and large quantities of cheap drones, said a Henry Jackson Society report.

Speaking to the Express, the report's author, former Army major Andrew Fox, said that the UK was “aware of the need for a dynamic transformation in military capacity”.
