Business supremo in summit on US levy

THE boss of construction gear giant JCB is to meet the Business Secretary amid alarm over new American tariffs.

Graeme Macdonald is to have talks with Jonathan Reynolds today after goods which contain steel and aluminium became subject to American levies over the weekend.

Affected exports include those with metal parts, such as garden furniture, as well as shampoos and other products with packaging containing aluminium.
