Tuchel could face early clash with Welsh and Scots

THOMAS TUCHEL is set to discover England's route to the World Cup today - and they could face at least one other British team.

England's manager-in-waiting - he starts officially on January 1 will head up a delegation from the FA at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich, with England among the 12 top seeds for the European qualifying draw.

While England are in the pot with the big guns such as Germany, Spain and Italy, the other home nations, along with the Republic of Ireland, are not among the top seeds for the 2026 tournament, hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Wales are in pot two while Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Republic are in pot three.
