Brianna gave me so much love, mother tells tearful tribute

THE campaigning mother of tragic schoolgirl Brianna Ghey joined hundreds of tearful mourners yesterday to mark the first anniversary of the 16-year-old's murder.

Heartbroken Esther Ghey amid a sea of support from well-wishers, friends and family - told the vigil how her daughter taught her "so much and gave me so much happiness and love".

Flowers, candles and a painting of Brianna were placed outside the Golden Square Shopping Centre at Warrington in Cheshire as those grieving wore pink in tribute to the teen.

Esther, 37, added: "Brianna was an amazing, unique and joyful teenager.

"I will be forever thankful that I was lucky enough to spend 16 years with her.

"If there's one piece of advice that I can give to any parent, it would be to hold your children tight and to never stop telling them you love them.

"I want to thank you all for coming here today to pay respect to Brianna.
