Bowled over by a better cereal

BREAKFAST cereals can help cut the risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and obesity, a study has revealed.

Starting your day with a bowl of a wholegrain or high fibre type can have multiple health benefits, it was said.

A major review of 51 studies and seven national diet surveys found that ready-to-eat cereals are a good source of nutrients and fibre, of which most of us are not meeting intake recommendations.
