Murrayfield post-mortem's a tough watch for England

STEVE BORTHWICK'S England were forced to watch a gruesome video nasty of yet another Calcutta Cup collapse last night when they returned to camp after this humbling.

The inquest started on Saturday night in the wake of a defeat by a Finn Russell-inspired Scotland side that derailed a 12-match winning streak.

With Ireland to come this weekend, and trips to Italy and France finishing off their Six Nations, this was a brutal reality check.

Borthwick was due to conduct a forensic review of the carnage back at the squad's Bagshot base once their lunchtime flight from Edinburgh landed yesterday.

The head coach always leads a blow-by-blow examination of any match, but this one would have been X-rated.
