Billy's aunt, 103, given medal for wartime service

WAAF Rene's star nephew
BILLY Connolly’s 103-year-old aunt has been honoured for her Air Force service during the Second World War.
Rene MacLean joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force in 1942. She was posted to the Middle East and served until the end of the conflict.
Now she has been awarded a General Service Medal by Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren in Glasgow City Chambers, days before turning 104.
Rene said: "It is lovely to receive it, I wasn’t expecting it at all."
