Andre looking like one giant mistake

WHEN Manchester United host Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday, Andre Onana is likely to find himself on the Old Trafford bench.

United head coach Ruben Amorim has honoured his predecessor Erik ten Hag's pledge to go with back-up goalkeeper Altay Bayindir in the cup games this season.

But after his latest high-profile blunders, Onana - who cost £43milllion from Inter Milan in 2023 may start to find himself on the bench more often.

In United's laboured 3-2 win against Ipswich on Wednesday, Onana was culpable for both goals, guilty of basic mistakes that made the win more difficult than it needed to be.

Those gaffes came on the back of further mistakes in the 2-2 draw at Everton last Saturday when he was at fault for the second goal, and in a 1-0 defeat by Tottenham, when he gifted a simple finish to James Maddison.
