A twisted killer who binged on violent videos and idolised misogynist Andrew Tate

REVENGE rapist and triple murderer Kyle Clifford had his mind twisted by endlessly watching sickening online hate videos, a top police officer has revealed.

A twisted killer who binged on violent videos and idolised misogynist Andrew Tate

Just weeks before he raped and murdered Louise Hunt and slaughtered her mum and sister, the monster showed one to her friends that featured misogynist Andrew Tate and centred on abusing animals.

Former soldier Clifford is understood to have laughed as he showed off the vile footage.

Police believe the killer may have been binge-watching videos for years before he went on his knife and crossbow rampage — and planned it like a military exercise, calmly buying weapons to carry out his horrific crimes.

Female army colleagues branded him “misogynistic” and male squaddies were appalled at how often he watched violence online.

imageThe Tate video was among a number with misogynistic content discovered by police that were not revealed to the jury at his rape rial this week, after the judge deemed them “highly prejudicial”.

Mr Justice Bennathan said Tate could be viewed as a “poster boy for misogynists” and if jurors knew Clifford had accessed such content prior to carrying out his crimes, it would have been impossible for him to face a fair trial.

The judge also stopped jurors being told that Clifford had tried to hook up with other women on the Hinge dating app just hours after he was dumped by Louise. Clifford cheated on the 25-year-old with one of his online conquests and believed she was his new girlfriend at the time of the killings.

Louise had been aware of this relationship when she broke up with Clifford.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner, of Hertfordshire Police, said friends had told officers Clifford watched the Tate video at a social gathering — and that was the “final nail” in his relationship with dog groomer Louise.

The senior investigating officer said: “He was watching an Andrew Tate video, it was something about animals being harmed and he thought it was funny.
