1,874 arrests and 660 weapons seized in county lines crackdown

VILE county lines gangs got a rude awakening last week when police arrested 1,874 suspects and seized a huge haul of weapons, drugs and dangerous dogs in raids across the UK.

Another 1,653 vulnerable people being exploited by the criminals more than half of them children were taken into safety during the massive crackdown.

Commander Paul Brogden, the National Police Chiefs' Council lead for county lines, said: "We have targeted the drug dealers who destroy lives and communities with over 1,800 criminals arrested.
