...but ceasefire in Gaza back on, claims IDF
ISRAEL'S military has said the ceasefire in Gaza is back on despite claims its heavy air strikes in the strip killed 104 people, including 46 children.
The bombardment — the deadliest since the fragile truce began on October 10 - marked the most seri ous challenge to the deal to date.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said he ordered the attack after accusing Hamas of violating the US-brokered ceasefire.
He claimed the terror group breached agreed terms on returning deceased hostages by sending a coffin containing the partial body parts of an Israeli captive whose remains had already been recovered in late 2023.
