DECORATIVE DISCO PIZZA SLICE CHANGED LIFE

A CROYDON woman has turned her passion for crafting into a thriving business - creating giant disco sculptures - after a video of her work went viral.
Sophie Lopez, 36, now works full-time as a disco ball artist, just a year and a half after she began making custom designs.
It all started when Sophie crafted a decorative disco pizza slice for her kitchen. After sharing a behind-the-scenes video of the project online, it quickly went viral and amassed millions of views. The response was immediate.
Sophie was inundated with requests from fans eager to purchase her shimmering creations, leading her to begin selling pieces for commercial spaces and events.
Sophie was able to quit her other jobs and now earns an average of £2,000 per month solely from her disco ball art.
She said: “It was kind of unexpected but it's worked out really well. I've always enjoyed being creative but have never been able to make a full time career of it.
“The fact that the pizza slice went viral was just the thing I needed to jump start a business like this.”
Sophie has been involved with the arts since childhood.
