'Porch piracy' alert issued across Cov over rising incidents

A 'PORCH piracy' alert has been issued across Coventry as police warn about a rising crime.

Officers said thieves were targeting parcels left on doorsteps and in communal areas.

Dubbed 'porch piracy, there was set to be an increase in the crime in the run-up to Christmas, officers from Radford policing team warned.

"While out on patrol, we have seen quite a few parcels left in visible locations," the team said in a community update. "Parcel theft, sometimes known as 'porch piracy' increases this time of year.
