LAMPS WANTS PLAYERS FOCUSED ON PREM BID RATHER THAN AUTOGRAPHS AND

- By ANDY TURNER Sky Blues Reporter

FRANK Lampard has explained the decision to bring a halt to players stopping for autographs and selfies on their way in and out of the CBS Arena on a matchday.

It has become a regular scene before and after home matches where fans, both young and old, congregate behind barriers at the players’ entrance at the stadium to see their heroes as they arrive for the game.

However, according to the minutes of last month's Coventry City Supporters’ Forum where fans from all of the club's supporter groups are invited to send a representative and ask questions to the Sky Blues hierarchy, including owner and executive chairman Doug King, players have been told they're not allowed to delay their arrival to the ground to prepare for the match.

The minutes read: “We have made a small change on matchdays whereby players are not to stop for photos and signings when entering and leaving the Arena.
