Green spaces at risk in 'impossible' homes plan

GOVERNMENT plans for more affordable homes will put 'more pressure' on Coventry’s last green spaces.
That is the concern of councillor Esther Reeves, the Green Party representative for Holbrook.
She says that while the Government’s new Planning and Infrastructure Bill aims to ensure more affordable homes to be built, it could have consequences on nature and will leave the city council in an 'impossible situation'.
Cllr Reeves is due to table a motion that asks her fellow councillors to support the city’s green spaces, and seek better protection for them from the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and housing minister Angela Raynor.
