COV GRANDAD TURNS MEMORIES OF WORLD CUP 1966 INTO BOOK

A COVENTRY grandad has turned his memories of England's 1966 World Cup win into a children's book.

For years Laurence Tressler has been using his grandchildren's bedtime as an opportunity to talk about his memories of one of our country's greatest ever footballing achievements.

The book, titled A Story for Grandad to Tell, also has the prestige of an afterword written by the only surviving player from that historic day, the legendary striker and final hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst.

The book, from Pop Publishing, is described as a chance to "enhance that special relationship between football mad grandchildren and their grandad".
