'Magic' teenager died only two weeks after complaining he had a headache

Morgan Kelly from St Austell, a pupil at Poltair School in the town, died in his mother Anna's arms on June 17.

"It just feels so unfair," she said. "I'm in a nightmare I can't wake up from."

She called Morgan her "rainbow baby" and said he was a fighter from the day he was born, with a fused skull and no oesophagus.

After his birth he spent three months in hospital, and as a toddler had to undergo surgery to have his skull put back together, but until little more than a month ago had a clean bill of health.

Then, on Saturday, May 31, Morgan complained of a headache and took some tablets to try to shift it.

"He was a teenager with a headache and it was nothing to write home about," she said.

"On Sunday he was all right, and maybe had a little headache but he was fine. On Monday he came home from school and was tired, and fell asleep on the sofa."

By Tuesday, however, everything had changed.
