Crime family laundered drugs money and sold stolen printer cartridges

A FAMILY in South East Cornwall became involved in a “significant criminal enterprise” which involved laundering drug money and selling stolen printer and toner cartridges, a court has heard.

Appearing for sentencing before Truro Crown Court on Friday, July 4, were three members of the same family: Steven Izzard, 35, his wife Georgina Izzard, 33, and his father Nicholas Izzard, 68.

All had previously admitted charges of concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property.

The court was told the Izzards initially ran a business buying and selling photocopier and printer cartridges from their family home in Callington.

However, some time in 2017 Steven became involved with a prolific drug dealer and agreed his business could be used as a front to launder the money.

Georgina and Nicholas also became involved and what was once a legitimate business became a criminal enterprise.
