William strengthens lead

LOCAL racer William Robinson competed in the second round of the Pro Championship with the FAT Karting League over the weekend in the dramatic setting of Rowrah, Cumbria.

The young driver had only raced at the track once before, in March 2023 as a bambino driver aged seven, so he was keen to race with the faster pace of the cadet kart.
Saturday’s practice proved frustrating for William as kart issues meant he missed out on two of his four sessions. When he got on the track for practice three, he was straight on the pace and set a 59-second flat lap - the quickest of all the cadet drivers that day.
