CHEDDAR Ladies Walking Football Club took part in the latest Somerset FA Walking Football Festival on Sunday, ending with a great series of results which included a win over local rivals Winscombe, two very close defeats and a number of goal less draws.

Superbly managed by Alex Curnow, the team consisted of Lisa Machin in goal alongside Nikki Llewellyn, Jaqui Lethaby, Sarah Williams, Kerry Hayes and Liz McConnell. Rosie Graham and Jane Leakey made their debuts for the side.

In the first of four successive goal-less draws, Cheddar dominated against Braunton with the defenders in control and Machin showing why she is the regional goalkeeper at walking football for the South West team.
