VHEMBE Mayor Freda Nkondo has called for stronger collaboration among municipalities, traditional leaders, government departments and civil society to improve service delivery across the district.

- SILAS NDUVHENI

“No municipality can succeed in isolation. Our success depends on strong collaboration with local municipalities, traditional leaders, government departments and civil society. We must work as one district, with one plan and one budget, in service of our people,” Nkondo said.

She was addressing councillors, traditional leaders and senior officials during the opening and closing sessions of the Vhembe District Municipality strategic planning workshop, which was held at the Kalahari Waterfront from February 4-5. Among those in attendance was the chairperson of the Vhembe House of Traditional Leaders, hosi Given Bungeni.
