Limpopo Premier pledges support for traditional leaders

THE Premier, Dr Phophi Ramathuba at an event held on May 29, reaffirmed Provincial Government’s commitment to empowering traditional leadership, during the official opening of the Limpopo House of Traditional Leaders and Khoi-San at the Thengwe Flying Peace Sports Ground in the Mutale area.

Addressing a gathering that included the chairperson of the Limpopo House of Traditional Leaders, Hosi Pheni Ngove, the Deputy Minister of Traditional Affairs Zolile Burns-Ncamashe, MECs including Basikopo Makamu (Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs), and traditional leaders, Ramathuba outlined a vision of stronger partnerships between government and traditional institutions.

“The government will provide the necessary tools of trade to ensure traditional leaders can carry out their roles effectively, within available resources,” she said.
