KTR calls on BRS cadres in Khammam to get ready for local body polls

BRS working president KT Rama Rao has called on the party workers to get ready for the local body elections and work hard to win the elections.

The party cadres should organise meetings at the villageand mandal-level, and expose the failures of the Congress government. The party would provide material.

Till now, activists have worked hard for the party; and it was time for the leaders to work hard for the cadres to get them elected as members of MPTCs, ZPTCs, councillors and corporators, he said.

Speaking at the party workers meeting here on Friday, Rama Rao complained that the Congress has deceived every section in Telangana. That was why the people were ready to teach a lesson to the Congress in the upcoming elections. The BRS should show its strength in the local body elections.

If the public's anger against the government was used properly, BRS would definitely win the Khammam and Kothagudem Zilla Parishads. The Congress made tall promises to the Khammam people, who gave nine seats to the party in the district, but it could not fulfil a single promise.

The Congress leadership was under the illusion that it would win by distributing money. The people should give the message from the erstwhile Khammam district that everyone has to bow down before the people's power, he noted.
