India reports 10 more Covid-19 deaths amid slight in active cases

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in India dropped slightly to 7,383 on Sunday, down by 17 cases from 7,400 a day earlier, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am.

However, deaths due to Covid pathogen cases increased by 10 to 97, the Ministry said. Three deaths were reported in Delhi, five in Kerala and two in Maharashtra. All reported cases involved individuals with significant underlying health conditions, highlighting the heightened risk posed to those with co-morbidities.
Fresh infections in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh increased by 10 each to touch 682 and 130 respectively, but they dropped by 102 in Kerala, though total caseload was highest among states at 2007.
