A Demand for Justice Mid-Day Meal Workers Union Condemns Labour Code Reforms, Calls for Nationwide Strike

The Telangana Mid-Day Meal Workers Union has strongly condemned the Central Government's move to consolidate 44 existing labour laws into four labour codes, calling it a step that benefits corporate entities at the expense of workers’ rights.

At a meeting held today on the premises of the Government Junior College in Mulugu, under the chairmanship of Samala Rama, the Union’s State General Secretary, Mr. Jampala Ravinder, criticized the government's actions. He stated that the new labour codes undermine decades of workers’ struggles and roll back hard-earned protections.
