Stormers ticked all boxes against Dragons
Cape Times

STORMERS director of rugby John Dobson gave his charges a pass rate after they tamed the Dragons in Cape Town on Saturday to seal a place in the United Rugby Championship play-offs with one game to go.
The Cape side has their fate in their own hands to claim the fifth place on the log ahead of facing Cardiff Rugby on Friday in the Mother City.
It took some grunt up front, espe-cially in the first 30 minutes, to subdue the Dragons, but the Stormers' firepower was eventually too much for their Welsh opponents, as they ran in seven tries to claim a 48-12 victory.
They ticked all the boxes Dobson wanted them to and delivered an outstanding second-half performance to blow the Dragons off the field. Their final clash, against the sixth-placed Cardiff, will determine where they finish.
"Overall, we did what we wanted to do in terms of maintaining some elements of our gameplay against Ben-etton (a couple of weeks ago)," Dobson said.
"It was always going to be trick-ier in a game like this with the (wet) conditions and the opposition. So, I'm happy we kept that standard around the small stuff like our breakdown reaction or maul defence, that was good and I am really happy with the performance in general.
