Metro police officer dies in pursuit of robbery suspects

THE recent arrests of two suspects connected to a robbery in 8th Avenue, Kensington, offer little solace to the colleagues of metro police officer Tyler Lamb, who lost his life in the line of duty.
The 30-year-old officer fell from a roof during a confrontation with the alleged robbers while pursuing them from a parking area where a business was robbed at midday on Friday.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said the two were arrested and will appear in court once they have been charged.
“Kensington police registered murder, attempted murder, robbery, and possession of ammunition cases for investigation following a robbery in a parking area of a business premises on 8th Avenue, Kensington, on Friday.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation”
