BONNER SAYS U'S AT THE BEGINNING OF PROCESS AFTER GOOD START
CAMBRIDGE United director of football Mark Bonner has been left "pleased" with the club's transfer business following a busy window for the U's.
United were tasked with rebuilding their squad after being relegated from League One, with 21 players leaving in total from last season.
The U's retained out-of-contract trio Michael Morrison, Liam Bennett and Sullay Kaikai, while they bolstered their ranks with 11 new faces.
Reflecting on the window, Bonner, who rejoined the club in February as director of football, told his club's website: "I enjoyed it. Obviously I've been part of plenty of transfer windows over the last few years in different positions, so this one was a lot more of an agent-facing role probably more so than ever before, but it's been good.
